GreenPower Program

By participating in the Palmetto State’s only GreenPower voluntary program, you have the opportunity to make a difference in something important...improving our environment.

GreenPower is energy generated by renewable resources such as solar, wind and even decomposing garbage in selected landfills. These resources are replenished naturally and minimize harm to the environment.

Green-E ProgramGreen-E Program

The Green-E Program certifies that GreenPower meets the minimal environmental and consumer protection standards established by the non-profit Center for Resource Solutions.  For more information on Green-e certification requirements, call 1-888-63-GREEN.

Environmental Impact

Investing an additional $6 per month on your household electric bill for on year equals: Planting 1/3 acre of trees in a national forest or not driving for nearly three months!

Participation in GreenPower

GreenPower facilities are more expensive to install. Each block will add $3 to your monthly electric bill. You can sign up for as many blocks as you like. All revenue from each block of Green Power is reinvested in future development of additional renewable resources or facilities.

For Residential Member-Owners the Rates Are:
$3 per month
for 1 block (100 kwh)
$6 per month for 2 blocks (200 kwh)
$9 per month for 3 blocks (300 kwh)

Your participation will show on your electric bill within one or two months. Participation in GreenPower is voluntary for PDEC members. You may discontinue participation in GreenPower at any time with no termination fee incurred. Pee Dee Electric may alter, amend or end the GreenPower Program at any time.
