New Construction
Standard underground service utilizes the shortest route possible, therefore, service to a permanent residence shall be connected to the corner of the dwelling closest to Pee Dee Electric's facilities. See A below.

Any underground service routing other than the shortest route, as approved by PDEC engineering, will result in an additional charge of $5.00 per foot for distances exceeding the shortest route. See B and C below.

Consumers should consider underground service routing before installation of paved driveway and/or septic system. See B and C below.

Change to Existing Service
If a member-owner wishes to change from existing overhead service to underground, there is an additional charge of $50 for removal of the existing lines. However, he/she should contact the Member Service department to arrange an appointment for an engineer to visit the site, assess the project and determine any additional costs, if applicable. Underground Subdivision
A: $200 (up to 150 ft)
B: $200 (up to 150 ft) + $350 (additional 70 ft) = $550
C: $200 (up to 150 ft) + $500 (additional 100 ft) = $700

Non Underground Subdivision
A: $400 (up to 250 ft)
B: $400 (up to 250 ft) + $350 (additional 70 ft) = $750
C: $400 (up to 250 ft) + $500 (additional 100 ft) = $900
